Coming to the end of a tough year as a disabled person.

This year has been incredibly tough as a disabled person.

This is because I’ve protected myself by shielding from coronavirus.

I’ve not gone out much since the 17th of May 2021 because I remain concerned about catching the virus.

Hopefully once the restrictions are lifted completely later this year I will start to venture out once again.

I’m excited to get back to some normality so that I can start enjoying life once again.

The one thing that has kept me going during the pandemic is chairing a couple of Youth panels/council’s.

This has given me the opportunity to focus on something away from the pandemic.

I have also been concerned about venturing into shops due to the lack of social distancing in some cases.

I have recently been thinking about how I can encourage young people to continue to follow the guidelines.

I have come up with this message for children and young people…

Please continue to follow the guidelines until all restrictions are completely lifted.

We have come so far during this last year and we don’t want to undo all of that effort.

I would encourage others with disabilities to venture out when they feel comfortable to.

I hope that you have enjoyed reading this latest edition of my blog.
