Having been involved in youth leadership For a number of years now I believe it should be shouted about.
The same goes for disability football as it’s Exposure is on the rise.
The reason for disability football being more exposed is that earlier this year the FA disability cup was put on TV for the first time in its history.
It makes me very angry that somebody who just wants to go and play football gets abused because they have a disability.
I have cerebral palsy and use a wheelchair but I have not let this stop me achieving what I want to when it comes to playing sport and being involved in youth leadership.
I am proud that I have been supported by the football Association both at national level and on the local one during the last 18 months.
My local county FA youth Council wanted to run a podcast series in order to give young people with disabilities who struggle to be heard the opportunity to do so during the COVID-19 pandemic.
This podcast has been so successful meaning that we have had a lot of people interested in getting involved which has been key to its success.
I would like to urge all young people to watch our podcast series as we know it will help to change peoples opinions
If you are somebody who has a disability and wants to get involved in disability football then I would urge you to go and speak to your local county FA who will point you in the right direction.
I would finally like to say this just because I have a disability it doesn’t mean that I will let that get in the way of me achieving what I want to.
