On Friday, the 13th of August 2021 I travelled to Scotland by car with my family.
It should taken between six and seven hours by car to get to Dunblane in Scotland from Hereford.
The traffic was terrible on the motorways on Friday meaning that it took us nine hours to travel to Scotland.
Our luggage has to be packed around my wheelchair meaning that each time we travel to Scotland I am not able to get out of the car for that entire duration of the journey.
This can be quite challenging for me as I have to stay sat in the same position for the whole journey which means my bottom can hurt.
I know that it is nobody’s fault that the journey took so long but it can be very difficult to be in the car for that long.
I have done this journey many times with my family meaning that we listen to music and play games to make the journey go quicker.
I am hoping that when we travel home on Thursday, the 19th of August 2021 the journey won’t be as long.
I am absolutely loving my time in Scotland seeing my grandparents and wish that we could see them more often but due to the distance between us this is not possible.
