I always knew what apprenticeships and Internships were but never actually considered doing one.

However this all changed November 2019 when I started to explore the world of apprenticeships.

In order to explore this interesting world I started applying for and researching apprenticeship providers and opportunities.

In December 2019 I struck gold as I found my dream apprenticeship with one of Herefordshire’s major employers.

Once I have navigated my way through an application and two stage interview process I finally started my dream job in February 2020.

This apprenticeship was unique to say the least as I only spent the first 21 days of my programme working in the office before we moved to home working due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The fact that we were working from home allowed me to spend some time focusing on completing my coursework in peace and quiet.

I believe that if we had not moved to home working I would have found completing coursework hard because of the volume of people coming to visit my team in the office.

I was able to complete all of my units and 4 exams from home in 12 months which is something that I am extremely proud of.

During my apprenticeship I was able to have daily contact with my team and tutors via email and virtual meetings which was brilliant.

Since I completed my Business Administration apprenticeship in April 2021 I have gone on to become a massive advocate of apprenticeships.

I strongly believe that if you are not academic then apprenticeships are the way forward for you because you will be supported by a training provider and employer to complete a qualification whilst you find your way into the world of work.

I would again like to thank those who supported me on this journey as I am incredibly grateful to each and everyone of you.

Thank you for taking the time yet again to read this latest blog post as I know the people lead busy lives.
