In 2022 Beijing played host to the Winter Olympics over a 16 day period.
I was glued to the TV for this period as I love the Olympics but especially the winter Olympics.
I have a passion for curling because team Great Britain’s training base is in Stirling Scotland which is close to where my family grew up.
Team GB played so well at the Beijing Winter Olympics and I especially enjoyed watching the mixed pairs because this is a new discipline within Curling.
It is a shame that the winter Olympics is only held once every four years but that is what makes it so exciting to watch when it is the latest Olympic cycle.
I am excited for the next winter Olympics which will be taking place in 2026 and the hosts will be Italy who have been unbeaten in the mixed pairs Olympic curling in 2022.
I would absolutely love to attend a winter Olympic Games so that I can experience firsthand the thrill of the winter Olympics.
