I was incredibly shocked to be nominated for the 2021 FA and McDonald’s grassroots awards.
This was because all the work that I did in 2021 wasn’t about me but about those young people who couldn’t play the beautiful game of football because of the coronavirus pandemic
Listen in with the youth council was a huge success because it highlighted issues that young people don’t normally talk about in the public eye.
The podcast series was about the young people telling their stories and that is why I strongly believe my nomination was in recognition of them doing this.
I am incredibly grateful to all the young people who took part in the series and they were so brave telling their stories.
I would like to place on record my thanks to all of my read it and followers who have taken the time out of their busy schedules to read my latest blog.
