A year on from winning the FA and McDonald’s rising star of the year award.

A year ago today I travelled to Wembley stadium to receive the prestigious FA and McDonald’s rising star of the year award.

This was in recognition of all the work that I have done to ensure that young people were heard during the coronavirus pandemic when they were unable to play football.

I have had the most amazing year since the ceremony in London and they are memories that I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I featured in the FA’s launch video for their Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy that covers the next 3 years.

This was an incredible moment for myself because I am extremely passionate about Equality, Diversity and Inclusion as well as the beautiful game of football.

The final episode of the Herefordshire FA youth council’s podcast series on Hate Crime has also been released and this is the episode that I am most proud of.

This episode stands out for me because I am incredibly passionate about ensuring that we do everything that we can to stamp out Hate Crime from society.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who was involved in my youth leadership journey because it was the best experience of my life.
