I feel the need to wear a body camera in order to protect myself whilst travelling on trains.
I have made this decision following an horrendous experience whilst travelling on a train earlier this month.
I will use this body camera to capture any footage of incidents that I experience whilst on public transport.
I shouldn’t have to do this but I feel that it is the only way to keep myself safe whilst continuing to live my life as independently as possible.
As I have said before I’ve been left incredibly scared and angry by this latest incident of hate crime.
I have been working with the media highlight this issue and the fact that believe hate crime is on the rise in the United Kingdom.
In the next week or so I will start travelling on trains once again so that I can build my confidence back up.
I find writing these type of blogs incredibly difficult because they highlight real issues that I face on a daily basis
