World Cerebral Palsy Day 2022

The day has finally arrived and it is World Cerebral Day.

I am incredibly excited for today as I get to celebrate my condition for what it is with my friends and family.

This year has been incredibly challenging for a number of reasons living with CP but I will not let any of these challenges stop me from living my best life.

The coronavirus pandemic is finally over and that means that I have now started getting back on trains and travelling the nation spreading my positive message.

My positive message is all about acceptance because I believe that everybody should be accepted within our society no matter what there circumstances are.

In 2016 I became a disability rights campaigner and created the Young Person’s Network to spread this positive message to children and young people across our county and the nation.

As I have said in previous blogs this week I am fed up of not being accepted for who I am and what I’ve achieved.

Today I am shouting about cerebral palsy because it is an incredible condition and we are incredibly proud of what it is and who it makes us as individuals.

Cerebral palsy hasn’t stopped me from carrying the final ever queen baton or leading young people on their youth voice journey both at local and national level.

If you want to abuse me for just being me then go ahead you will not succeed in bringing me down.

I hope that this blog and the rest in this series on cerebral palsy are shared far and wide so that we can raise awareness of the condition.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has supported me over the years but most notably the teams at Herefordshire FA, The FA and Football vs Homophobia.

Those three organisations have given me incredible opportunities over the past two years during very difficult times and I am incredibly grateful to each organisation for their support in shaping me into the youth leader and young person that I am today.

I believe that those with cerebral palsy rock and I hope that our community will grow and hopefully take over the United Kingdom and the rest of the world.

As always I would like to thank both my readers and followers for taking the time out of your busy schedules to read the final blog of this series on cerebral palsy.
