Where do I believe it went wrong for Steven Gerrard at Aston Villa.

I strongly believe that it went wrong for Gerrard when the boys started playing bad for him.

In 2022 Steven Gerrard managed Aston Villa for just 31 games, Winning and drawing eight but unfortunately he lost a total of 15 games this year.

Since the start of the 2022/23 season in august Gerrard lost six matches, Drew three and won just two.

This is unacceptable for a side that was meant to be challenging for a European place.

In recent weeks the Aston Villa fans have turned against Gerrard because the performances haven’t been good enough.

On Thursday night when we went 3-0 down against Fulham the fans started chanting for Gerrard to get out of our club.

I believe that it was time to Gerrard to go as both the fans were calling for him to go and players gave up on him and his methods.

Aston Villa currently sit in 17th place in the Premier League just one place above the relegation zone.

In his post match press conference at Craven cottage last night I believe that Gerrard knew he was on borrowed time because of the way he was answering the questions posed to him.

Managing in the Scottish premiership is completely different to managing in the Barclays Premier League and I believe Gerrard has found this out the hard way.

Results haven’t been any better on the pitch this season and I believe that maybe we would have been in a different position on Friday morning if they had been.

I personally was getting more and more frustrated with the decisions that Steven Gerrard was making on behalf of our team.

The simple fact is Gerrard lost the support of both players and fans and this is why we are looking for our next head coach this morning (Friday).

As always I would like to thank both my readers and followers for taking the time out of your busy schedules to read yet another one of my blogs.
