Please don’t forget us Rishi!!

On Monday, the 24th of October 2022 Rishi Sunak was named the next prime minister of United Kingdom.

This was following the resignation of Liz Truss as the UK Prime Minister last week.

I believe that Rishi will be able to stabilise the Conservative and Unionist party but also unite the country following what has been a very turbulent 2022.

I am interested to find out how Rishi and his ministerial team will support the disabled community of our country going forward.

It’s going to be interesting to see who is appointed secretary of state to the departments of health and social care, education and the department of digital, media, culture and sport

Once he had enough votes from his fellow MPs Rishi then visited King Charles the 3rd to be officially appointed as his first prime minister since taking over as the king of the United Kingdom.

The next few days and weeks are going to prove challenging for him as he attempts to undo everything that Liz Truss and her government did in there short five weeks in Office.

It is important that the disabled community are not forgotten by the new government because we have as much right to be heard as everybody else living within our society.

It is so important to note that Rishi understands the economy having spent time as chancellor of the exchequer under Boris Johnson’s government.

I do believe that the UK government needs to put more funding into health and social care, education and the department of work and pensions so that the disabled community are supported to the highest possible level.

We as a community are often forgotten when it comes to governmental decisions in Downing Street.

I am sure that if the new secretary of states for the three departments were living with somebody who has a disability then they would want to do what is absolutely necessary to ensure that they have a decent quality of life.

I know that I’ve spoken a lot in this blog about why I believe the new government needs to focus on the disabled community but I have done this because I’m conscious that we have been forgotten in the last three governments alone.

I would like to urge Rishi Sunak as the new prime minister of the United Kingdom to consider the disabled community at every decision that could affect us because we have as much right to live in the United Kingdom than he does.

As always I would like to thank both my readers and followers for taking the time out of your busy schedules to read yet another one of my blogs.
