My 3 hour wait to buy tickets for a football match over the phone

Yesterday (Monday 31st October) I waited a number of hours in an accessibility ticket phone queue.

I was attempting to purchase wheelchair tickets for the lionesses match against Brazil at Wembley Stadium in April next year.

I called the dedicated phone line at 11:30 am and didn’t put the phone down until 2:30 pm.

It shouldn’t take that long for somebody to answer the phone on a dedicated accessibility line.

When I booked tickets to see Lewis Capaldi in Birmingham also for next year I was waiting on arena Birmingham‘s Dedicated phone line for just under 40 minutes.

That leaves me wondering why I have to wait three hours for a dedicated phone line to be answered so I chose to put the phone down.

Since Doing that I have made an official complaint to Wembley Stadium about the issues that I experienced because I believe it is totally unacceptable.

I am going to attempt to ring the dedicated accessibility line at Wembley Stadium once again this morning to see if I have any luck or a better experience.

The disabled community will know how difficult it is for us to book tickets for events such as concerts and sporting matches.

Why do venues such as Wembley stadium, the home of England football make it so difficult for our community to enjoy events at their venue.

I will continue to share this experience social media until I have a satisfactory resolution as I believe incidences like this needs to be highlighted.

I’ve been lucky enough to visit Wembley Stadium and I was very excited when I found out that the lionesses would be playing Brazil there in April 2023.

If this issue does not reach a satisfactory conclusion I will not purchase tickets for an event at Wembley Stadium again.

I am a massive football fan and l love attending both men’s and women’s matches however issues like this one make the experience of being a disabled football fan incredibly difficult.

If I don’t get to purchase tickets for this lionesses match I will attempt to see them elsewhere in England before they head to Australia for the 2023 FIFA World Cup.

Thank you to everybody who has seen my social media posts on this subject in the last 24 hours I really appreciate your support on this matter.

As always I would like to thank both my readers and followers for taking the time out of your busy schedules to read my latest blog.
