I’m United for access at the Women’s wheelchair basketball premier league match between Worcester Wolves and East London Phoenix.

On Sunday (the 26th of February) I travelled to the university of Worcester arena to watch the Worcester Wolves wheelchair basketball team take on East London Phoenix.

This also marked the second day of Level Playing Field’s unite for access campaign and I wanted to celebrate it at a different sport and venue that I hadn’t visited or seen before.

Worcester Wolves started well and had scored 8 points at the end of the first quarter to East London Phoenix’s 10.

It was an another good quarter by Worcester Wolves who had increased there points total to 16 with East London Phoenix increasing their’s to 23 in the second quarter.

The half time score between Worcester Wolves and East London Phoenix was 16 – 23 in the favour of East London Phoenix.

Worcester Wolves started the well after the half time break and increased their points total to 30 in the third quarter with ELP (East London Phoenix) increasing their’s to 37 points.

It was all to play for between Worcester Wolves (WW) and East London Phoenix (ELP) at the University Arena in Worcester going into the 4th and quarter of the match.

The wolves increased their points total to 35 in the 4th quarter with the Phoenix increasing there’s to 47 points.

This meant that the Phoenix left the University Arena has the victors which was very impressive to see.

I was incredibly impressed to see how accessible the University Arena was for those with disabilities because venues like it are few and far between in the West Midlands.

I am united for access because I believe that the disabled community should have the same opportunities as our able-bodied counterparts.

I am definitely planning to visit the University Arena in Worcester on a couple more occasions in 2023 because of how accessible it is for the disabled community.

I know that this another short blog but I wanted to share why I am supporting the United for Access campaign delivered by Level Playing Field (LFP).

I will be releasing another blog about the campaign this weekend when I visit Villa Park to watch the mighty Aston Villa take on Crystal Palace.

I would like to as always thank both my readers and followers for taking the time out of your busy schedules to read another one of my blogs, it doesn’t go unnoticed.
