I shouldn’t have made it to 27!

I can’t believe today (Wednesday the 9th of August) is my 27th birthday, a mile stone that I shouldn’t have reached.

As many of you, my readers and followers will know I was born at 25 weeks gestation weighing just half a bag of sugar.

I spent the first 3 months of my life in hospital attached to various tubes that were keeping me alive and it’s a miracle that I am here 27 years on.

I am proud of what I’ve gone onto achieve since my 26th birthday and I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of everyone around me.

I successfully beat Herefordshire Council which forced them to install 16 pairs of dropped kerbs on Harrow Road and Plough Lane in the city of Hereford.

I was then given the opportunity to meet with the Minister for Roads and Local Transport, Richard Holden MP, who congratulated me on my success.

The minister agreed to write to the Cabinet Member for Transport and Infrastructure at Herefordshire Council in an attempt to obtain an explanation as to why it took them 4 years to act on concerns that i first raised with them in 2018 about the state of our pavement network.

As of today, Wednesday the 9th of August I am yet to receive an official response from the council in relation to this matter despite meeting with them on Monday the 24th of July this year.

This has to be one of my proudest achievements in my 27 years on planet earth and that is something I’m not ashamed to admit.

I am excited to see what my future holds in the weeks, months and years to come because I know it’s going to be exciting.

It wouldn’t have been possible for me to achieve my dreams without the support of my family and friends.

I have this simple message for you all, thank you so much for everything that you have done to support me over the years, it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

I know that this is another very short blog but I couldn’t let my birthday pass without writing a blog.
