On Wednesday, the 6th of July 2022 I travelled to Manchester to watch England take on Austria in the opening match of the 2022 European women’s football championships.
Whilst in Manchester I used trams to travel around the city as it was easier than taking buses or walking.
This was my first experience of using a tram as a wheelchair user and I found it to be seamless and hassle free.
I would strongly recommend using a tram network to any wheelchair user who has access to one whether that is when they are on their travels or just moving around there home county.
I am looking forward to using the tram network when I visit Wolverhampton for the Commonwealth games in Birmingham this July as I will find it an easy and accessible experience.
