Aston Villa feel that they can alienate their disabled supporters to make as much revenue as possible.

I am unable to visit Villa Park and support the club that I love because they are trying to make as much revenue as possible meaning that in my opinion they have lost all control of their senses.

Villa are charging there disabled supporters between £55.00 and £72.00 to attend premier league matches with the prices of wheelchair bays depending on where you chose to sit in the stadium and what the match is categorised as.

They are also charging between £70.00 and £84.00 for champions league wheelchair bays at Villa Park with the amount dependent on if you are a season ticket holder or not (These prices are for single tickets only in many cases).

As I wrote in a post on the 6th of September, 2024 many of the disabled villa supporters are either on low incomes or no income at all meaning that we simply cannot afford to attend matches which I see as an incredibly sad state of affairs.

A few seasons ago the club took the decision to charge those who are claiming medium rate Personal Independence Payment (PIP) to bring a personal assistant with them to matches however those claiming the higher rate of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) were still allowed to bring a personal assistant, free of charge to matches.

In my opinion this was the wrong move as it boarders on discrimination because they were effectively categorising supporters based on what benefits that they receive, this should never have been allowed to happen.

At this point I would like to make it crystal clear that I spent last season working with the team from West Midlands Trains to make the rail experience better for our disabled supporters and the local residents from the surrounding areas, not Aston Villa Football Club.

This is the only enjoyment that many of the clubs disabled fanbase get on a by-weekly basis and this is how we are treated.

Come on Mr Heck do the right thing and resign from your position, you have driven supporters like myself away from the club that I have supported long before your arrival, how it is that fair as its not just all about revenue, have some compassion!!!!!!!

As stated earlier this month I completely support the action that is being taken by many supporters groups in the lead up to and during our clash with Everton on Saturday, I intend to turn my chair and not watch the first 97 seconds of the match which is being broadcast live on sky sports, if I even watch the match at all.
