Bologna are the next European side to visit Villa Park in UEFA Champions League, West Midlands Trains spent the back end of the 2023/24 season installing accessible waiting spaces at the railway stations around our beautiful stadium.
There have been fifteen matches hosted by Villa in Birmingham since the end of January 2024 meaning the spaces have been seen hundreds of times by a wide range of supporters which is incredible to see.
The waiting spaces are accompanied by a couple of different styles of signage of each of the platforms so that the spaces can easily be found by those requiring the use of them.
My message to the supporters of Bologna who are using the rail network to travel back into the city centre from Witton after the match is simple, please be mindful of where you are standing on either platform at the station, as those requiring assistance to board services home will need access to the waiting spaces that are pictured above.
Please be respectful to your fellow supporters.
