Disabled people who use railway stations on the the line that connects Bromsgrove and Redditch are set to see the introduction of accessible waiting spaces and other types of signage at some stations on the line.

The work is set to start this week and will see the likes of Shenstone, Blake Street, Sutton Coldfield, Four Oaks, Wylde Green, Chester Road, Litchfield City, Erdington & Gravelly Hill have the spaces and signage installed by West Midlands Trains.

This follows successful trails of the spaces and signage at a number of stations in the region in the last year or so.

The message to passengers using the stations that have the spaces remains the same and is this, please be mindful of where you stand of the platforms at the stations as those needing assistance to board services will need access to the spaces at all times.

If you travel by rail on a regular basis and require assistance to board or disembark services, your assisted travel can be booked up to 2 hours before departure in 1 of 3 ways.
