My plan was to show the next generation of children and young people with disabilities that anything is possible if you want it enough after applying to be on the ITV gameshow ” Deal or No Deal”.
Applications for the hit ITV show opened in early 2025 and it was finally time to see if I could live out my dream of being a contestant on the show.
The process started fairly soon after I submitted my online application with a telephone interview where one of the production team found out a few things about me and why I wanted to be on the show.
This was quickly followed up by a video call with another member of the team to find out more about me and any mascots that I planned to take onto the show, if successful in the process.
In July this year, much to my surprise I was invited to a group workshop in Manchester with some of the shows production team, this gave us the opportunity to play the game (well a powerpoint version actually) and see if we could beat ” the banker”
Unfortunately I wasn’t selected to be a contestant on the show and didnt hear anything back from the shows producers following the completion of the process.
However, the whole experience was magical and I cannot thank the entire team at Remarkable Entertainment for their support and understanding during the application process.
