In 2025 I didn’t wheel forward to receive a Covid-19 booster just like in previous years since the Coronavirus Pandemic hit the shores of the United Kingdom because I wasn’t invited to do by the National Health Service (NHS).
Today, Monday the 5th of January 2026 I have written to the Minister of State for Public Health and Prevention at the Department for Health and Social Care in a bid to establish if the guidance has been changed by the DHSC (Department for Health & Social Care) & NHSE (NHS England) in relation to who is eligible for booster vaccines.
Since the pandemic I have wheeled forwarded for vaccine boosters in the October’s and November’s of 2022, 2023 and 2024, so the big question is why wasn’t I invited for my booster vaccination by the NHS last year.
I have urged the Minister to consider reversing any decision made in relation to the eligibility of those who can have the boosters, by reminding her that the most vulnerable within our society are being put at risk by not receiving top-ups of the vaccine.
