I found stenhousemuir’s, Ochilview Park very accessible as a wheelchair user when I visited the ground last summer.

When I visited stenhousemuir’s, Ochilview Park last summer when the Scottish league one side took on Cove Rangers in Scottish League one on the 9th of August I found it to be a very accessible stadium as a wheelchair user.

I sat in one of the wheelchair bays at pitch level in the main (south) stand just next to the tunnel

Being able to see the only goal of the game from stenhousemuir’s Dale Carrick was an added bonus.

Having sat at pitch level at other football stadiums around the United Kingdom it’s not first choice of seat however I wasn’t bothered as I had a good view of the pitch.

Leaving the stadium after the match was a very easy experience because of how close I was to the stadiums exits.

If any wheelchair using football supporters like visiting stadiums around the country to check out the accessibility I would certainly recommend a visit to Ochilview Park.

When next in Scotland I will be heading back to the stadium for a visit if fixtures allow.

Finally it’s fair to say that this small stadium is one of the best in terms of accessibility that I’ve visited since I started following football in 2010.
