As a so called Aston Villa fanatic I will continue to back the Villa boys despite recent results on the pitch in the Barclays Premier League.
Friday’s 0-2 defeat away to Wolverhampton wanders was just the start of a disappointing week for Birmingham’s claret and side on the pitch.
In the last few minutes Villa have lost 1-4 at home to Chelsea despite taking the lead in B6 within the first couple of minutes.
My message remains the same from last Friday evening and is this, “ Let’s all remember what happened just a few years ago at Craven cottage in London when we played Fulham and were under the leadership of Liverpool legend, Steven Gerrard”.
“That night we were calling for him to go after a disappointing result in the capital, let’s not give Emery the same treatment as he has worked wonders for us in recent years”.
“ Recent season’s have us play the UEFA Europa Conference League, the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League this season, under Emery”.
“ Every football team across the nation, whether they play in the biggest league in England or the lowest league in Scotland has their ups and downs occasionally “.
Following these two disappointing results I strongly believe that Unai Emery is the man to get us out of this situation and he has my full backing and always will whilst at Aston Villa football club.
As a club we go again, when we take on LOSC Lille in the UEFA Europa league next week.
To say that I am proud of what Aston Villa football club has achieved in recent years is an understatement.
I for one am looking forward to returning to B6 in just a couple of weeks time when we take on the French outfit under the lights in Birmingham.
