I believe that Aston Villa are set to bottle it once again at the semi final stage of a European competition.
In the second half of tonight’s first leg tie in the Europa League semi final between Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa at The County in Nottingham, Chris Wood put the East Midlands side 1-0 in the tie from the penalty spot.
This resulted from Villa’s Lucas Digne not being able to keep his hands down whilst in the box as the ball struck his arms.
Unfortunately this ridiculous mistake has led to the boys in claret and blue being defeated in Nottingham, meaning they will have to play out of their skins at villa park in Birmingham next week to turn this around.
Nottingham Forest are too strong for us to defeat and that is something I have said all this week and standby.
They are the best team in the Midlands and this will be proven next week when they finish the job off in our backyard.
Unai your time winning this competition is over, however I’m still grateful for everything you have done for our club in the last few years.
It has been an incredible journey and one which I will never forget.
