Coventry Arena railway station is ready to welcome Sky Blues to supporters to the CBS Arena and the surrounding area as the club celebrates winning the sky bet championship and to returning to the Premier League.

Coventry Arena railway station is situated a 2 to 3 minute walk or wheel away from the CBS Arena and is ready to welcome Sky Blues to the stadium and surrounding area as Coventry City celebrates winning the Sky Bet Championship and returning to the Premier League for the first time in 25 years.

In recent years I have been working with the accessibility team at the now funded rail operator, West Midlands Railway to improve the access for those with disabilities or mobility issues to at stations they manage across the rail network.

Blue and white boxes which feature a white wheelchair logo along with the words ” for mobility assistance, please wait here” along with signage mirroring the same messaging which is attached to lampposts on the platforms near to where the spaces are located.

The Parade will formally begin on Holbrook Way and conclude on Hearsall Common after travelling down various Roads, Avenues and Lanes in the city including, Moseley Avenue, Westhill Road and Bakers Butts Lane before arriving at (Hearsall) Common.

If you are planning on travelling to the area surrounding the arena to witness the parade leave and begin its journey around the city by rail and require some assistance to board or disembark trains, your assisted travel can be booked up 2 hours before departure in any of the following ways:

By Phone: 0800 024 8998 or by using Next Generation Text – 18001 0800 024 8998.

Online: https://booking.passengerassistance.com.

Using the Passenger Assistance App: https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/passenger-assistance/id1542190496.

However you do have a legal right to just turn up at a railway station and travel without booking any assistance prior to departure.

I would like to wish all those attending this afternoon’s victory parade a safe, peaceful and enjoyable experience and thank them for taking the time to read this post after the accessibility provision that is offer to rail passengers and supporters to require assistance to board trains at the station.

As alway I would to take this opportunity to thank the team at West Midlands Railway, who have go above and beyond it recent weeks, months and years to ensure that our (the disabled) community can travel by rail around the network with ease and confidence. It has not gone unnoticed and is of course very much appreciated.

A thank you must go to each and everyone of you, my regular loyal readers and social media followers who continually take the time out of your busy schedules to read my latest posts, it does not go unnoticed and is as always very much appreciated.
