To say that I’m disappointed that a number of Aston Villa’s key players have left or are set to leave the club this summer is an understatement.
Last week Yuri Tieleman’s left the Midlands club for Manchester United with it looking increasingly likely that Lucas Digne is set to join PSG.
In the last hour or so it has been reported in the media that Morgan Rogers will be signed by Chelsea for £117 million pounds following his medical on return to the UK from the World Cup in America.
All of these moves begs one question which is this, what direction is our Beloved football club going in next season and the ones after that?.
Competing in the Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League is going to be incredibly difficult this year following the sales or potential sales of these three key individuals.
Those of you reading this will know by now that the boys in Claret and blue won the UEFA Europa League against German side Feiberg in Istanbul on the last Wednesday of the season.
Villa please, please, please stop selling arguably our best players to other clubs either abroad or in the Premier League as we need them.
All that is left for me to say is this, I really hope that some decent replacements for these players are brought in to the club before the start of the 2026/27 campaign in just a few weeks time, otherwise it is going to be another difficult season.

I am really excited to see the support given to those with disabilities or mobility issues who support Aston Villa and travel to matches in Birmingham by rail by the rest of the fan base in the months and years ahead.
