A weekend at Center Parcs in the Lake District to celebrate my 30th birthday.

This weekend I turned 30 years old and travelled to Whinfell Center Parcs in the lake district, where I was able to celebrate with family, in the lead to up to the weekend I spent some time in Scotland and visited the Scottish Parliament in the countries capital Edinburgh.

Having arrived in the lake District late afternoon on Friday (7th of August) there was some to chill out before the weekend of activities got underway the following day.

The following morning Saturday (August the 8th) I hit the ground running with starting off by painting some pottery in the sites dedicated studio which is located just next to the main activity centre.

Following that it was time for some football pool that I couldn’t actually partake in due to being in a wheelchair, but it was very fun to watch and something that I won’t forgot in a hurry.

That evening it was time to grab some food and we headed to Hucks, an American dinner that I have eaten at on Christmas Eve whilst staying at the parc in years gone by.

After the evening of lovely food and then bed, it was finally the big day where I turned 30, electric boats on the lake was the first order of the day which was quickly followed by a round of crazy golf and then an afternoon tea style lunch, which was something that I was very excited about.

To say that I have had a few days to remember that just about topped the celebrations of my 29th birthday is most defiantly an understatement. My 2025 birthday saw me spend the day at Ochiview Park, where I watched Stenhousemuir take on Cove Rangers in there second home fixture of the 2025/26 campaign in Scottish league 1.

On that occasion I was also given the opportunity to to meet the clubs then manager Gary Naysmith before the match, who has since moved onto Scottish Championship side Ayr United.
