This afternoon I have updated the Minister for Rail and HS2 on the outcome of my rail accessibility Campaign.

I have this afternoon updated the Minister for Rail and HS2 on the outcome of my rail accessibility campaign on behalf of the disabled community who live in the West Midlands.

I informed the Minister that I was finally contacted by the team at West Midlands Trains on the 10th of November to arrange the meeting that the Department for Transport requested earlier this year on my behalf.

I went onto tell the Minister that I finally got the chance to sit down with officials from WMT, Which included the organisations Passenger Experience Director, Johnny Wiseman on Tuesday the 28th of November.

I then briefly mentioned that there were a number of solutions discussed during the meeting which were in relation to the concerns that I raised with them about the challenges that I have been facing in recent months as a disabled rail passenger.

I signed off the letter by urging the Minister to ensure that all rail operators follow the lead of West Midlands Trains (WMT) when it comes to engaging with disabled rail passengers about the service that we are offered.

I have once again included the links to my previous blogs on this subject just in case you would like to relive how my campaign played out.
