I travelled to Villa Park in Birmingham and watched Villa take on RB Salzburg in the Europa League this evening.
However I could see the majority of the match as my seats were located just next to the home dugout. There were points of the match that I did struggle to see due to the angle of my seats and other supporters standing up during the match.
RB Salzburg scored the opener at the Holte End of the stadium in the late stages of the first half of the match and I saw every minute of the build up and the goal.
My celebrations of the goal felt real as a result of seeing it, something that I am extremely pleased about.

Openly and honestly I spoke about the fact that because of the visual impairment I have, sometimes my best friend who I attend the matches with has to tell me what’s happening at the other end of the pitch.
Tonight was different when using these bays as my best friend didn’t have to keep me updated on the action at all which gave me some independence back.
As a disabled football supporter following the club I love I should have this experience every-time I visit Villa Park.
